How long should my TRIPLEDGE wipers last?

The life of a windshield wiper is influenced by many factors that make it difficult to say when they will no longer perform. More than anything, wipers should always be replaced when they impair a driver's vision in adverse weather. TRIPLEDGE Premium Silicone Wipers have been designed to outlast traditional rubber wipers, and that is the reason we back them with the industry’s best guarantee for as long as you own your car. If your TRIPLEDGE wipers should ever need replacing, follow the instructions on the Warranty Registration form that came in the package, and request replacements through our Customer Service Department.

What should I clean my windshield with?

We suggest using the following mild abrasive cleaning solution. It is as follows:

  • 1 tablespoon of baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon of dishwashing liquid
  • 4 cups of water

Mix the ingredients together and use a soft cloth to wipe down both the windshield and the rubber on the blades with the cleaning solution. After rinse thoroughly to get off any excess solution.

How can I tell what type of wiper arm I have on my car?

TRIPLEDGE comes with an illustrated instruction sheet. Use the circled illustrations to find which arm you have. Our pre-installed universal adapter fits most wiper arm designs. See our Installation Videos for more help.

What size wiper does my vehicle take?

See our Application Guide for a listing of wiper sizes covering most makes and models.

Why does TRIPLEDGE use a Silicone blade?

Silicone blades can withstand extreme temperature and weather conditions that normal rubber blades cannot. TRIPLEDGE can operate in temperatures ranging from -110°F to 350°F, giving them the durability to make it through the extremes of summer and winter, without sacrificing performance. Whereas most natural rubber blades need to be replaced annually, TRIPLEDGE can give you years of peak performance.

Why are my blades leaving a film on my windshield?

TRIPLEDGE Premium Silicone Wipers are designed to leave a thin clear coat on the windshield. The coating helps to bead-up water on impact and roll-off the windshield with less resistance, improving the driver's vision. The clear coat takes a short period of time to settle evenly, so initially there may be parts of the windshield with a thicker coat than others. Because this beading effect is naturally created on your windshield, we do not recommend using a silicone or wax based treatment along with TRIPLEDGE.

My wipers are making a chattering noise and missing spots. What should I do?

First, with a soft cloth, clean the windshield and wiper blades using a mixture of baking soda, dishwashing liquid and water. Next, make sure the wiper blade is correctly installed using the proper adapter. If the problem continues, adjust the tension by stopping the blades in the upright position. Hold blade at the point of connection to the arm and pull the blade away from the glass approximately two inches. Let the blade snap back to the glass. This process may need to be repeated a couple of times depending on the situation. If none of the above suggestions resolve the problem, please call our Customer Service number at 1-800-517-7600.
